In light of today’s ruling by the SCOTUS regarding same sex marriage and my being a Pastor, I have been ask some very sincere and difficult questions. Below is one example. This believer asked a very good question. How do we respond to those who do not accept the Bible as God’s Word? Why should we force them to abide by what the Bible says?

Did you know that giraffes only need between twenty to one hundred twenty minutes of sleep every twenty four hours? They have the lowest sleep requirement among mammals. Most of us need varying amounts of sleep. While I can think of ways I could use the time I spend sleeping for others things, I must admit, I enjoy sleeping. My body lets me know when I need sleep. Scripture assures us that God neither sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4). Wait a minute! Didn’t Jesus, the Son of God, sleep? If God never sleeps, why did Jesus sleep? Is He sleeping through your storm?

Two processions of people converged outside the city gates. In one procession, the central figure was a corpse. In the other, it was Christ. In one procession there was great sadness and sorrow. In the other there was joy and gladness. As these two groups converged, life met death. Why did Jesus raise the son of the widow of Nain from the dead?
