Our Instructors

Dr. Kenneth S. Hemphill is the Founding Director of the Church Planting and Revitalization Cen-ter at North Greenville University. Dr. Hemphill has earned a variety of degrees from Wake For-est University (BA), Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv, DMin) and Cambridge Uni-versity (PsyD). He has worked in a broad scope of ministry positions from pastorates to Presi-dent of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and beyond. Dr. Hemphill is the author of 38 books and numerous articles. He and his bride Paula have been married for 45 years. Ken is the proud father of three daughters and is now Papa to eight grandchildren.

Dr. Terry Lanford is Executive Director of Entrusted to Teach Ministries. He is a former pastor and executive pastor who spent twenty years in business management roles before responding to the call of full-time ministry. Among other activities, he currently serves as Chairperson for the Board of Chosen Children Ministries. He is a graduate of Clemson University (MBA) and North Greenville University (DMin).

Josh Hunt has a passion for small groups. He is a leading guru on small group curriculum and training, regularly writing multiple lessons each week which correspond with Lifeway curriculum and the International Standard Series. Josh travels upward of 100,000 miles per year to speak to leading churches across the U.S. He is the author of 11 books and has created a number of video series as well. Josh has served in many ministry roles and is a graduate of Wayland University (BA) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv). Josh is a creative thinker and energetic speaker whose passion is to see people come to know and enjoy God.

– Alex McFarland is a Christian apologist, author, evangelist, religion and culture analyst, and advocate for Biblical truth. He has preached in over 2,000 churches worldwide and often speaks at Christian events and conferences sharing the Gospel. Alex is a frequent spokesperson for a variety of media outlets including Fox News, Focus on the Family, The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, BBC, and many more. He was the third president of Southern Evangelical Seminary. Alex’s greatest passion is growing the body of Christ and instructing Christians how to stand strong in today’s culture. For nearly 30 years, Alex has pioneered the Truth for a New Generation Conference (hyperlink) designed to equip teens and adults to know what they believe and how to defend their faith.
