Passion is a mark of great teaching

Passion is a mark of great teaching. Passion drives a teacher to prepare well and helps a teacher communicate that he or she sincerely believes the truth they teach.  Hopefully you have allowed God’s own passion about teaching to inspire you to prepare and teach with passion.  We cannot expect our learners to be passionate about God’s Word if we are not passionate about teaching God’s Word. Passion is wonderful, but passion is not enough. Preparation is important but preparation is not enough. All the passion and preparation in the world will amount to nothing without the blessing and anointing of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me” (John 15:5). Bible teaching will not accomplish anything of eternal and/or spiritual value without His anointing. No matter how spiritually mature you may be, there is always room for growth. I encourage you to consistently place yourself in positions that will enable you to grow in your knowledge of God and His Word.  I challenge you to honor Christ’s command to teach and to make disciples. We serve a mighty God who is worthy of our best! Our Lord and God, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because You have created all things, and because of Your will they exist and were created. (Rev. 4:11)
